My name is Maaike and as a breathwork facilitator and coach, I specialize in helping people release emotional blockages and achieve personal growth through the powerful practice of transformational breathwork. Whether you're looking to reduce stress, get clarity on your direction in life, improve your relationships, or simply find more inner peace, this type of breathwork can be a powerful tool in your process.


Sessions
Now that I'm visiting Belgium, I offer a couple of "pop-up" group sessions in the area.
PRACTICAL INFO
The group sessions are held at my friend's "Relax & Shine Instituut" in Lochristi.
These sessions are 120 minutes and the exchange is €25.
We only have room for 6 people, so don't wait to claim your spot!

WHAT TO EXPECT?
Transformational breathwork is an active healing breathing practice held to music.
It's a powerful experience offering profound shifts in your emotional, physical, and/or mental state.​
​
Maaike will gently lead you into the session with a warm-up and invite you to a reflection moment. She might suggest a theme to work with, but you are welcome to bring whatever is going on for you at that moment. Then she'll professionally guide you on a musical breathing journey, that lasts for about an hour. The practice invites you into an altered state of consciousness where it's possible to release stress, suppressed emotions, limiting patterns, and physical toxins from the body. After the breathing journey, we take some time to relax and discuss insights and questions.

The experience is different for every person, and different every time you do it.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Breathwork is a safe practice, but I do ask you to take responsibility for your own well-being.
AVOID intense breathwork when you have any of these contraindications:
​
• Cardiovascular disease
• Heart attacks, high blood pressure, and angina
• Glaucoma or retinal detachment
• Recent injury or surgery
• History of Panic attacks or psychosis
• Seizures
• Severe mental illness
• Aneurysms (or family history)
• Pregnancy or breastfeeding
PREPARATIONS

Bring a yoga mat or thick blanket to lay on.

Wear comfortable clothes. (Bring layers, your body temperature can change during the session.)

Optional: Bring journal/paper & pen.

Optional: Reflect on your "why" for the session.

It works best on an empty stomach (I suggest not eating 2 hours before).

Don’t join if you’re under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
-
Don't plan anything too intense afterward, give yourself some time to relax & integrate.
